My Day:

The craziest shop ever - it was a rave store full of staff dancing on balconys and flurescent lights flashing everywhere. It's not somewhere you would really buy anything as it is literally just tight fitting, brightly coloured spankys and tops etc, but the experience was crazy!

The picture shows about 1/5 of the ground floor, which was all dedicated to accessories, jewellry and makeup.

I went to London yesterday, both Oxford Street and Camden Lock Markets. It was a christmas present from my lovely brother, Rob and I had such a fantastic time! It was a brilliant way to start off the new year and to end January - I desperately want to go back there!

I went down on the train from Bristol to Paddington at 9am (meaning I had to get about a 6am) and I met my brother by Platform 1. We then went to Camden Lock by the London tubes and spent around 2-3 hours there. Camden Lock was such an amazing place and experience. It was absolutely huge! There was literally some many places to go and it was very easy to get lost in. There were hundreds and hundreds of stalls like vintage and foods. It was all so remarkable, I just didn't know what to do with myself!

After, we caught the tube to Oxford Street where we visited Topshop, H&M, Miss Selfridge, Urban Outfitters (we saw someone shoplifting I think, and they got caught), John Lewis (for food) and Zara. OH MY DAYS - The Topshop was incredible. There were like 5 MASSIVE floors full of vintage clothes, cafes (wierdly), Boutiques, normal Topshop clothes, a whole floor dedicated to accessories, and so much more. It was outstanding.. I just couldn't believe the size. The rest of the shops were also huge.

I had the most fantastic time ever! Apart from the journey back. My train back at 5pm was cancelled so all the hundreds of people (including me) had to squash onto train at 5:30pm. It didn't seem so bad until I saw a whole swarm of people sprinting towards the train ready to get any available seat, reserved or not reserved. I queued to get onto the train to see absolutely no seats whatsoever were available. I had to stand in the train interlocking compartment with a load of people. I couldn't lean against anything so I had to stand right in the middle of everybody where I was falling into everybody haha. I made a fool out of myself a few times but ahh well. I had to stand for about an hour and a half whilst I heard people complaining and kids screaming. I eventually got a seat when I got to Chippenham, but it was pretty pointless as I was getting off in about 10 minutes. Erghh, it was a real pain but it was quite fun and it made the journey a little more exciting.

I enjoyed every second of my day and I cannot wait to go back. Thank you so much Robbie! xxx

YES AND NO PRODUCTS

YES
  • Mac Studio Fix Fluids: Absolutely perfect. It has high coverage, lasts all day and works with my normal/oily skin. Best foundation I have used (And I have tried many!) However it is quite expensive: £19.50. This might be out of some peoples budget but it is definitely worth it. I only wear this on the weekends as it's too pricey to be wasted at school.
  • Revlon Colourstay Foundation: Great foundation for every day use and for people who don't want to spend too much. It is about £10 which isn't too bad for normal Boots product. I use this for school and it lasted me about 6 months (and it still has 1/4 left). I matches my skin perfectly, but it can make my nose a little shiny/oily by the end of the day.
  • Volume Million Lashes Mascara: I bought this years ago and have stuck by it for ages as it is does the job superbly. Not only does it make my very short/non-exsistent lashes much much longer, it volumises them and seperates them amazingly well. I use this every day and it usually runs out every two months. It is the best mascara I have used (and yet again I have tried many). For about £10 it is pretty good!
  • Collection 2000 Concealer: It matches my skin colour really well and keeps most of my spots covered throughout the day. Great for a cheap brand and product.
  • Stila Waterproof Eyeliner: I got this lovely product from my brother's lovely and generous girlfriend, Charlotte. She bought me a Stila Eyeshadow set which is sensational! This eyeliner also came with it and I couldn't be more pleased with it. I have gone through so many different brands and this is by far the best! Thanks Char!

NO
  • L'oreal Roll on True Match: Basically it is very patchy and doesnt match my skin colour very well. It wipes off within an hour which means constant retouching. I dont ever use this foundation but I feel bad throwing it away because it was expensive. (Also the rolling brush builds up all this bacteria if its not cleaned, then it spreads onto the foundation when rolled against it.)
  • L'oreal Infallible, Indefectible Waterproof Eyeliner: This smudges off within a couple hours leaving you would lots of black smear marks underneath your eyes. It was fairly expensive and it was just a waste of time. It is certainly NOT waterproof on me.
  • Rimmel Eyebrow Pencil: I bought and still use this because it is the only affordable eyebrow pencil in boots and superdrug which is mildly good. It comes out like gingery/brown on me when it clearly states it should be dark brown. I am considering buying Mac when this runs out as it makes my eyebrows look so wierd.
  • Waterproof Collection 2000 Liquid Liner: It makes your eyelids feel really hard and horrible. It comes off instantly with water, therefore making it a bad product!
  • Helen E Blusher: BAD, BAD, BAD. It comes out bright pink and disgusting.

SO EXCITED FOR LONDON

I am going to London with my lovely brother, Rob - It is his christmas present to me. I am seriously excited... I am buzzing! I am getting the train to Paddington quite early on in the morning on my own, then meeting Rob at the station (I bet I get lost!) I'm not too sure what he has plannedfor the day, it's kind of a surprise :)

But I have no idea what to wear from my little wardrobe! I usually decide on the morning, but I wont have time if I am getting up at like 6am. Please help...

This would be perfect for my prom, but this is just my first idea. I have plently of other ideas too:) I dont really care too much about my prom dress; I will probably just leave getting my dress until the week before haha.

BARGAIN HUNTER

They had such brilliant bargains in Urban Outfitters! I bought a boudoir box for £5, but originally £15 - I have wanted this for ages but I didnt want to pay that much, but my lovely mum found it and bought it for me. She also got me a Sewing machine from Urban Outfitters for £5!!, but the RRP was £30... Unbelievable. I also got a ring holder for £4.50.

I had a huge clearout and tidy up of my room. I got rid of so much makeup: most of it was probably like 5 years old, disgusting and dried up. I am quite a hoarder so I found it difficult to let go haha. My bin is full of old hair products, accessories and makeup (but now I have a neat makeup draw and tidy draws and containers.

MAC STUDIO FIX FLUID FOUNDATION | REVIEW

I decided to treat myself to this fabulous foundation after christmas, and i can honestly say it was the best decision ever. Let me tell you everything I thought:

Basics

I bought the colour NW25 which matches my skin colour quite well. (However the staff told me three different colours which was a bit off putting haha). It is a 30ml bottle so it should last a long time considering I dont use much of it at a time.

Coverage

Full flawless Coverage - Excellent. It is much better than any other foundations I have tried: for instance Bobbi Brown and Estee Lauder. The coverage is medium to full which is perfect for me. I have teenage skin which basically means oily and spotty (haha) so I found this covered my spots and blemishes fantastically.

Longwearing?

Absolutely! It stays on literally all day. The many other foundations I have had stayed on for like an hour before it came off, but this stays on for a full day. I wear it to school sometimes and it looks the same as it does when I first apply it in the morning, to when i get home from school. Best foundation for longwearing purposes.

Cost

Me being a teenager with not the greatest amount of money, I found this was very expensive: £19.50. I would never usually spend this much on it because it is way too much, but considering it was christmas I decided to splash out. But I definitely find this overpriced, however it is worth it.

Extras...

This is a very moisturising foundation which does not leave your skin dried out or oily. It controls your face oil (which is great for most oily teenagers) and it has helped reduce my spots (personal opinion).

Conclusion

It really is an amazing product which is well worth the price and I would definitely recommend it. It is by FAR the best product I have ever bought; I have subsequently bought more mac makeup because of this.

If I have missed out any details then please just comment below and ask me any questions.

Overall Product: 9/10
