WASHINGTON DC

Just under three weeks ago I went to Washington DC with the school for an A Level History trip for 8 days. The whole journey itself (including the bus, taxi and plane flight) was about 22 hours so it was quite exhausting. For the 7ish days we were properly there, we spent 5 days doing museum and historical visits, such as the White House, Natural History museum and Holocaust Museum. It did start to get boring by the end...

The shopping day was what I was looking forward to the most, but I must admit is was very disappointing. I didn't find any shops that I liked expect for a makeup store. From there I bought about $55 worth of Mac Makeup: Studio sculpt foundation, bronzer, concealer and lipgloss - I bought so much for so little money. All of that would have cost me about £30 here which is absolutely AMAZING! I was so buzzing with my buys.

However, I did get to go shopping on the last full day in Chinatown. There was an urban outfitters, american apparel, forever 21, H&M, Zara etc. I spend $150 in American Apparel, but that was my main aim of the trip to spend lots of money in there! I bought a crop top, dress, denim sleeveless shirt and cami top. It was cheaper in America so I took full advantage of that.

To sum the trip it up I found quite a lot of the museums fairly average and the shopping was bbrilliant in Chinatown and the little makeup store. Of course I absolutely LOVED the food, it was to die for. I literally was full all the time but I couldn't resist eating all the time as it all looked so good. Although their food is mostly quite crappy, it was mint for the week we were there.

  2. Looks like you had a great trip. Very jealous you spent all that money in American Apparel - are you doing a post on this? Would love to see what you bought and how you style it. Buying make-up in America is brilliant, as it works out very reasonable. The food looks amazing too. Lots of great memories too. X
